What Loupe does

The player we wanted for our own collections. Here is what is in the beta today.

Bit-perfect output

Direct mode takes your DAC for Loupe alone and switches its sample rate to match each track. PCM arrives untouched, and DSD goes over DoP when the DAC supports it.

Hi-res streaming, built in

New releases, playlists, favourites and purchases, streamed in hi-res in the same window as your own files. Needs a streaming subscription.

Music wherever it lives

A folder on your Mac, a NAS over SMB, or a folder in Google Drive, Dropbox or Yandex Disk, copied for offline listening.

A library for collectors

Browse by album, artist, genre and label, and keep smart folders that fill themselves by your rules: by year, by resolution, by anything in the tags.

Sound tools, off by default

Parametric EQ, upsampling with the SoX resampler, convolution and crossfeed, for when your room or your headphones need them.

One search

Your library and your streaming service answer the same search, and recent searches stay a click away.

A Mac app through and through

Written for macOS 15 and later, with Liquid Glass on macOS 26, media keys, Now Playing and AirPlay. Separate builds for Apple Silicon and Intel.

A developer who answers

Send a problem, an idea or a screenshot with the Feedback button in the corner of the window. The reply arrives in the app.

Work in the open
